Cordyceps

What are Cordyceps and why are they so awesome?...

One of the most used mushrooms in Chinese Medicine.  The effects of cordyceps are attributed to the polysaccharides as B-glucans as well as cordycepin, ergosterols, and mannitol which may be responsible for an increase in ATP and oxygen utilization.  

Cordyceps are an entomopathogenic fungus containing polysaccharides and B-Glucans, known to posses anti-inflammatory properties.  

Cordyceps species have shown with recent research to hold properties such as: anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal.  Cordyceps has become very popular with performance athletes in recent years because of the ability to increase ATP.
