The AF1 strain is cloned from an 84 pound wild maitake, from the mountains of Western North Carolina.
Also known as the Hen of the Woods and it's our personal favorite. This fungus is grown on stumps, buried hardwood logs, and buried sawdust blocks. It can take up to six months to fruit from a grow bag of sawdust, but is well worth the wait.
Medicinally speaking it is valued for diabetes control and anticancer properties.

2.) Grain Spawn are 2.75 pound bags of second generation grain spawn and can be expanded again or spawned directly to a bulk substrate.
Our Grain is ORGANIC and NORTH CAROLINA GROWN! For more information check the culture library. We can make grain spawn from any strain listed.
