Chris is the founding owner of Asheville Fungi. He is a self taught mycologist that began cultivating mushrooms at the age of 16.
Since this humble beginning, Chris has continuously expanded his knowledge of mycology, giving him nearly 20 years of experience.
He continues to be a teacher and mentor to many folks who are interested in and share his passion for growing mushrooms for food, medicine and profit.
Sarah has a deep passion for the Farm to Table movement. "My green thumb comes to me from both sides of my family. My parents are in the nursery business, and my grandparents were avid gardeners. There was always a great respect for the food that was on the table."
She currently runs her own culinary spice mix company, Well Seasoned Table.
On her off days you can also find her hiking, in her garden, or cooking. There is always something cooking in the kitchen.
Michael is a small business owner, investor, and adviser.
He seeks out unique ideas and people to help create interesting projects like this one.
It is his goal to help motivated individuals create a way to do what they love for their job.
