(Grifola frondosa)
Also known as the Hen of the Woods and it's our personal favorite. This fungus is grown on stumps, buried hardwood logs, and buried sawdust blocks. It can take up to six months to fruit from a grow bag of sawdust, but is well worth the wait.
Medicinally speaking it is valued for diabetes control and anticancer properties.
