The Phoenix Oyster is very similar and often difficult to distinguish from Pearl Oyster, but equally prolific and easy to fruit. It can be grown on logs, stumps, or in bags of pasteurized straw or enriched sterilized sawdust. It's a warm weather strain that like the heat. This strain was developed by Asheville Fungi. Very aggressive and productive.

We recommend taking our sterile culture plate, and making as many plates as you can from it, as well as several slants. We can easily get forty wedges from one plate! If you ever lose the strain, we will replace it for $20 indefinitely!
